Removing and Replacing an Old Door

The following instructions are for removing and replacing and old door. Follow this easy step-by-step door replacement.

Remove the Old Door

  1. Remove the old door by taking out the hinge pins from the door. 

  2. Now that there is only a frame, carefully remove the trim from the wall.

  3. You can now see the old shims holding the door in place. Cut them out to remove the frame.

Replace with New Door
