FAQ
Do you have questions about the Quick Door Hanger? Browse through our Frequently Asked Questions below.
- Why should we use these brackets?
First, ease of use. You only need a level, power driver and pencil to hang an interior door. You will only need to pick up your level once and you can throw away those shims. Quickness, we have trimmers that are averaging under 5 minutes a door. If you think you can do it the old way with shims that fast we ask you to time yourself, you might be surprised how long it actually takes you.
- What about heavy solid core doors?
You should not have a problem with conventional solid core doors, but we recommend that you take the center screw out of the hinge and drive a long screw into the trimmer stud.
- What about 8'0" doors?
We recommend using an extra Quick Plumb Door Bracket behind the 4th hinge.
- Can we use these brackets on exterior doors?
We do suggest that you use them on exterior doors, you can use them if the brick mold is not installed on the door and drywall is installed on the inside of the house.
- What happens when the bottom plates do not line up directly across from each other?
The bracket bend back and forth, you might need to check plumb on the door after you have bent the bracket.
- How does the trim cover the brackets?
Most door manufacturers place a back bevel on the door jam itself and most trim comes plowed out on the back center of the trim.
- How many brackets per door?
Six brackets per door with all the necessary screws are in a one door package.
