I was asked to complete and installation of a $8000.00 plus entrance door with two side lights on a new home. After quickly reviewing the installation instructions and issue caught my eye as to the method to attached the frame to the rough opening. (NAIL THROUGH THE FINISH TRIM AND FRAME AND THEN PATCH THE HOLES) This was a pre-finish stained door and that was not about to happen. My options, if the quick door hanger works on a $50.00 dollar door why would it not work on and $8000.00 dollar door. The answer, use extra clips. I used a total of twelve, four on each side jamb and four across the top. The customer was looking for the nail holes in the trim and jamb until I explained to him about your clips, needless to say he is very happy and the door works great.
